The Information Regulator has compiled a guide (in terms of Section 10 of PAIA) containing information to assist any person wishing to exercise a right contemplated in PAIA and POPIA. This guide is available from the Information Regulator:

3. Records Available Without a Request

The following categories of records are publicly available on our website without the need to submit a PAIA request:

• Public business listing information (business names, categories, cities)
• Pricing plans and subscription terms
• Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
• This PAIA Manual

4. Records Available on Request

The following categories of records may be available on request, subject to applicable grounds for refusal under PAIA:

• Your personal information held by ServiceSource (POPIA access request)
• Lead submission records related to your account
• Payment and subscription history
• Internal correspondence relating to your account

5. Processing of Personal Information (POPIA)

ServiceSource processes personal information in accordance with POPIA. Full details are provided in our Privacy Policy. We process the following categories of data subjects:

• Homeowners: Name, phone, email, city, service requirements
• Service Providers: Business name, contact details, service areas, payment info
• Website Visitors: Analytics data via Vercel Analytics (anonymised)

Purpose: To operate a home services directory connecting homeowners with service providers.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (directory operation) and consent (form submissions).

6. How to Submit a PAIA Request

To submit a request for access to records, please use the prescribed form (Form C for private bodies) and send it to:

We will respond within 30 days of receipt as required by PAIA. An access fee may apply as prescribed by the regulations.

7. Grounds for Refusal

Access to records may be refused on grounds specified in Part 3, Chapter 4 of PAIA, including but not limited to: protection of third-party privacy, protection of commercial information, and protection of research information.
